Our Trip to Bluedial Farm and the Beach

Reception have had the BEST day today on our trip.We started off with a tour of the farm, looking at the cows and them being milked then their calves and some goats. We then had a snack break where we sampled some of the milkshake from the farms vending machine. After snack we had a play on the park follow by lunch.
After lunch we went to the beach where we had a scavenger hunt and used buckets and spades to dig and explore!What a wonderful day exploring. Well done to the children for their excellent behaviour. You made us very proud teachers. 

Stockswood Outdoor Forest School

Reception has had a brilliant time today at Stocks Wood. They started off the day by playing hide and seek and singing some songs. We then sat around the campfire having hot chocolate and toasting marshmallows. In the afternoon children had chance to explore the area and free play. They had a go at lying in a hammock and even some pond dipping. One of the children managed to catch a frog! It was a super busy day from start to finish and the children behaved excellently.

Maryport Aquarium

Reception had the best time on their trip to the Aquarium today, linking in with their topic this half term, ‘Under the Sea’.

The children were all well behaved. We are so proud of how well they represented our school. Well done reception!

A Visit to our local Church

This morning we have been learning all about Remembrance Day. We have talked about how brave the soldiers were who fought in the war and why it is important to remember them.

We went on a lovely walk to the church to look at the poppies and then to the memorial park to see the wreaths that were laid yesterday.

Once we got back to school we sat and held a minutes silent.

The children behaved so well on this little trip out of school and made us very proud.

Our trip to Whinlatter

Reception had the best time at Whinlatter walking the Gruffalo trail. The children’s behaviour was spectacular and they all received 2 Dojos for this! Well Done Reception, we are so proud of you!
